What is JSON (JavaScript Object Notation)?
JSON is a lightweight, text-based data interchange format widely used in modern web APIs and cloud software. It is easy for humans to read and write and effortless for machines to parse and generate.
Common JSON Syntax Rules
- All keys must be enclosed in double quotes (
"key"). - Strings must use double quotes, never single quotes.
- No trailing commas are permitted after the last property.
- Supported data types: Objects, Arrays, Strings, Numbers, Booleans, and
null.
